Formula 1 News: Odds Favor Verstappen for Victory at Silverstone Ahead of British Grand Prix

As Formula 1 returns to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix, all eyes are on Max Verstappen, who enters the race weekend as the favorite to claim victory. According to 188BET’s odds, Verstappen leads the pack with 1.48, closely followed by Lando Norris at 3.50. Oscar Piastri and George Russell, who secured his second Formula 1 win in Austria, trail behind with odds of 15.0 and 17.0, respectively.

After a dramatic late-race collision with Norris in Austria, Verstappen is tipped to bounce back and secure pole position at Silverstone. His odds for pole position stand at 1.57, with Norris a close second at 3.50. Russell and Lewis Hamilton, meanwhile, have more distant odds of 17.0.

In the battle for the podium, Verstappen and Norris again lead the way, with both drivers likely to push for a top-three finish after missing out in Austria. Russell, Piastri, and Carlos Sainz, who shared the podium in Austria, have reasonable odds to do so again at Silverstone.

“As for the top-six finish, the leading four teams have locked out the front odds, but Fernando Alonso and the Haas duo of Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg could sneak into the top six. Alonso will be keen to bounce back after a challenging weekend in Austria, while Magnussen and Hulkenberg will look to build on their double points finish.”

In terms of scoring points, the usual suspects lead the way, but Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly are tipped to be in the battle for a top-10 result. Lance Stroll and the RB pair of Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo, who sealed a P9 finish at the Red Bull Ring, are also in contention.

Verstappen is favored to take the fastest lap, with odds of 2.35. Meanwhile, Red Bull remains the favorite to take the most points at Silverstone, with McLaren also having strong odds.

The Safety Car featured in the 2023 British Grand Prix, and the odds suggest that this could happen again during the 2024 event, with a 1.35 likelihood. Finally, the winning margin is expected to be close, with odds of 1.82 for a win by over 10 seconds.
