As the Formula 1 calendar heads to Canada, Max Verstappen is facing yet another challenging weekend for Red Bull Racing. The Dutchman, who has been struggling with ride issues on his RB20, expressed his concerns about the team’s prospects in Montreal. “It takes time,” Verstappen said in an interview. “You have to redesign things, you have to come up with different things on the car and that is work in progress.”

The problems, caused by Red Bull’s aggressive pursuit of aerodynamic gains, have resulted in a lack of mechanical freedom to adjust ride settings without compromising performance. Verstappen believes this limitation has made the car particularly susceptible to difficulties on bumpy circuits and kerbs.

Despite the issues, Verstappen remains confident in Red Bull’s ability to improve and catch up with their rivals, including McLaren and Ferrari. “I do think that after Monaco it gave us another wake-up call. We had a lot of good meetings at the factory and discussions where I feel like there’s a bit more focus on that now, to try and improve that.”

However, he is aware that fixing these problems will take time, especially considering the constraints imposed by the budget cap. “But despite the limitations, I still think that we can do a good job this year if everything works out. We just have to try a few things, see what works best.”

The current Formula 1 standings may not reflect Red Bull’s best performance, but Verstappen’s determination and optimism indicate that the team is not giving up just yet. “I’m still hopeful and confident that we can do a better job already this year.”

With the focus on Canada this weekend, Red Bull Racing will be keen to prove its Formula 1 news worthy prowess. Can they bounce back from their recent setbacks and demonstrate a much-needed improvement? As we look to the future of Formula 1, tyres will play a crucial role, and the onus is on Red Bull to get it right. As for Verstappen, his fans will be closely watching the Formula 1 news to see if he can lead the team back to victory.
