Formula E Monaco: DS Penske Unveils Exclusive ‘Grand Gala’ Livery for Monaco Race
As the Formula E championship heads to the iconic Monaco street circuit, DS Automobiles is gearing up to celebrate in style. With the race taking place just a stone’s throw away from the brand’s headquarters in the Paris region, the French manufacturer has designed a unique ‘Grand Gala’ livery for its two DS E-TENSE FE23 cars.
The specially decorated electric single-seaters will don a sleek black and gold color scheme, paying homage to the luxurious outfits worn at Monegasque parties and one of the most legendary races in motorsport. This exclusive design is not just limited to the cars, as the team’s overalls, helmets, and even the DS 7 E-TENSE 4×4 360 that will transport the drivers to Monaco will feature the same design.

DS Penske’s drivers, Jean-Eric Vergne and Stoffel Vandoorne, will be looking to make a statement on the track, with Vergne recently breaking the record for most points scored in the championship (1,047) since his arrival in 2014. “I’m obviously very happy with this record and all these points,” said Vergne. “This figure shows just how far I’ve come since I started in Formula E, but what interests and motivates me more than anything today are the points I need to score in the future!”
With the Monaco race being a coveted win for any driver, Vergne and Vandoorne will be pushing hard to secure a podium finish. The team’s performance at Misano a fortnight ago, where they consistently topped the practice sessions but faced bad luck in the race, suggests that the potential is there.
