Lando Norris, the young British driver, has attributed McLaren’s impressive performance in Formula 1 qualifying at Monza to significant improvements in aerodynamic efficiency, allowing the team to gain an astonishing 20km/h on the straights compared to last year’s car.
Norris secured his fifth Formula 1 pole position, with teammate Oscar Piastri taking second place, ahead of Mercedes’ George Russell and the Ferrari duo. This marks a remarkable turnaround for McLaren, which struggled at the Italian Grand Prix last year, qualifying seventh and ninth.
