Sergio Perez to Start British Grand Prix from Pitlane After Grid Penalty
Formula 1 today faces a significant setback as Red Bull’s Sergio Perez will be starting the highly-anticipated British Grand Prix from the pitlane, following the team’s decision to equip his car with fresher power unit components outside his allocation. This move comes as Perez struggles to regain his competitiveness, which has been evident throughout the weekend at Silverstone.
During the qualifying session, Perez experienced a spin at Copse on a damp track in Q1, resulting in his car becoming beached in the gravel.
