Russell Secures Pole in Canadian GP Qualifying, Verstappen Takes Second

In an electrifying qualifying session for the Canadian Grand Prix, George Russell claimed his second career pole position with a blistering lap time of 1m12.000s. Despite Max Verstappen matching Russell’s time, the Red Bull driver was forced to settle for second on the grid due to the timing of his run. Lando Norris rounded out the top three for McLaren.

The session was marked by surprises, with big names struggling to make an impact. Sergio Perez, who recently extended his contract with Red Bull, failed to exit Q1 for the second consecutive race. Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz also faltered, unable to secure a top-10 spot in Q2.
