Motorsports icon Parnelli Jones, whose remarkable IndyCar career spanned decades, has passed away at the age of 90 after a battle with Parkinson’s disease. Jones is best remembered for his historic 1963 Indianapolis 500 victory and his dominance in USAC open-wheel racing during the 1960s.

The anticipation for the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500 is palpable, with Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin setting the fastest-ever pole speed.
