Charles Leclerc Dominates at Home in Monaco

In the latest edition of our Formula 1 Power Rankings, Charles Leclerc’s dominant display on his home streets of Monaco takes center stage. But who else caught our experts’ attention in the Principality?

Our Formula 1 Power Rankings, updated after every Grand Prix, assess each driver’s performance across the weekend, excluding machinery from the equation. A panel of five judges scores each driver out of 10, with the scores then averaged to produce a race score. These scores are tallied up across the season on our overall Power Rankings Leaderboard.

Lewis Hamilton briefly stole the show in Monaco, setting the fastest time in first practice and raising hopes of a potential fourth win at the iconic circuit. However, as the weekend unfolded, it became clear that Ferrari and McLaren drivers would be the ones to beat, with George Russell also getting the better of his teammate in their intra-team battle.

Revisit the Monaco Grand Prix highlights, where Leclerc secured a home win after a chaotic start.

Just missing out on our top scores were Nico Hulkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo. Hulkenberg was an innocent bystander in the first-lap melee, which saw his Haas teammate Kevin Magnussen collide with Sergio Perez’s Red Bull, ultimately collecting the German. Ricciardo, meanwhile, had a solid but unremarkable weekend.
